The Charles Finney School

To our parents,
There are not words to express how thankful we are for you. You have been there for us since the beginning. You have supported us, loved us, cared for us, and you (somehow) have put up with us for the past 18 years. Your investments into us have given us the skills and tools to prosper and grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.
We would like to thank you for all of the hours you have spent driving us to and from school for sporting events, concerts, and musicals. We know you did not have to and sometimes you did not want to, but you did because you love us, and you have done everything possible to support us.
Through your support we have developed our skills, and we will use them as we carry on into college and our careers. We have learned how to work with others and never give up. You have taught us the diligence that has helped us get to this point of graduating. You have taught us independence and you have trusted us to make the right decisions. You have been there with us, teaching us every step of the way.
Most importantly of all, you raised us to be men and women of God. You helped us strive to be the people that God wants us to be. You have taught us to look to God and know He has a plan. You have exemplified God’s love for us by loving us unconditionally. On top of all that you have spent your hard-earned money to send us to a school where we are able to talk about our faith and learn and grow in our relationship with God and other people. Your sacrifices have been greatly appreciated, and we hope you are able to see the fruits of your labor in our lives.
You as parents do not get enough credit for raising us to be the young adults that we are. Without you we could not be the young men and women that we are today—striving for our goals and dreams. There is no set amount of time that we can say “thank you” that would come close to being equal to all the things that you have done for us, but we hope you know that you are loved and appreciated, and we are immeasurably grateful for you.
