Signature

Email Signature Instructions

  1. Using your mouse, click and drag the cursor to highlight the email signature content in the signature template box on the right, including the logo.
  2. Once the content is highlighted, copy it to the clipboard by using CTRL+C.
  3. Go to your email signature settings. If you are using Gmail online, these can be found in Gmail by clicking the gear icon, then "See all settings," then scrolling down to the "Signature" section on the General tab.
  4. If you have an existing email signature, delete it.
  5. Click in the email signature box and paste from the clipboard by using CTRL+V
  6. Edit the content of the signature as needed, keeping the formatting as-is. Note that teachers should not add their direct extension to the phone number, but staff may if they choose.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the settings tab and click "Save changes."
  8. Once you have updated your signature, use your mouse to click and drag the cursor to highlight the content, then press CTRL+C to copy to the clipboard.
  9. Log in to FACTS SIS and and click your initials in the top right corner.
  10. Select User Preferences (these preferences are unique to your personal FACTS SIS login). 
  11. On the next screen, select Communications from the menu on the left. 
  12. If you have an existing email signature, delete it. 
  13. Use CTRL+V to paste your new signature  in the signature box. On this screen you may see the words THE CHARLES FINNEY SCHOOL instead of the logo. 
  14. Click the "always include my signature" box and SAVE at the top right.
